If you're anything like us, you're probably running around like a chicken with your head cut off (no pun intended here) to try to get everything done for the holidays. Which is exactly why we picked coq au vin for this week's Love Box. Coq au vin is a meal that is so elegant in its simplicity that it almost forces you to stop and smell the roses...or in our case, the bouquet garni of aromatic herbs.
In typical Love Box fashion, we've once again done something special for this box. We went ahead and cured and smoked some local farm-raised pork to make our thick-cut apple and hickory smoked bacon. It's because we love good food, and all of you wonderful people...but mostly the food thing.
Just a reminder that we will be delivering on Wednesday, December 23rd, which means the order cutoff is at 6pm on Tuesday, December 22nd.

Raspberry Clafoutis A classic French dessert made from raspberries baked in a thick batter, dusted with icing sugar
Our vegetarian alternative this week is a mushroom bourguignon. As usual, we can do a half-vegetarian, half-meat box so everyone gets fed. Just include a note with your preference at checkout.
