When we put out the call for boxes that you wanted us to bring back, I was secretly hoping this one would be on that list. Anna makes some of the best Indian food I've ever had (it's better than mine, I've admitted it before, just don't rub it in). And thankfully for everyone (myself included) it looks like I'm not the only one who's been craving it.
So if you're in the mood for some absolutely decadent curries, do yourself a favour and order, since it won't becoming back for a long time (unless Mother Nature decides to hit us with yet another winter).
Chicken Korma A delicious curry that is full of flavour, yet is still mild in terms of spice. Aromatic Indian spices simmered slowly with chicken in a rich and creamy nut gravy made from blended cashews, almonds, and pistachios. It's my favourite.
Saag Paneer Saag paneer has always been my favourite Indian dish, and I thought I had the recipe down to a science. But then I had Anna's, and well... you read what I said above. It's a bright, vibrant curry with earthy undertones and lightly seared Indian cheese. Traditionally made with spinach, Anna blends in swiss chard to elevate this mild curry to another level.
Tarka Daal It took us a while to get this one to where we liked it. Although it's traditionally made with pigeon pea lentils, we found that using split peas made all the difference in the world, giving it a buttery undertone that was unmatched. Aromatic spices slow cooked in a tomato gravy with split peas.
Coconut Cardamom Basmati Rice Basmati rice cooked with a touch of cardamom and coconut, gently melding the curry flavours together.
Homemade Roti Handmade traditional Indian flatbread.
Chewy Masala Dark Chocolate Brownies If you've been lucky enough to try our Mexican chocolate brownies, then you'll love these. A chewy dark chocolate brownie with a hint of our own toasted garam masala, it's the perfect end to a great meal.
Roasted Cauliflower Korma (Vegetarian Alternate) The same delicious sauce from the chicken korma, just without the chicken! We've replaced it with oven roasted cauliflower florets tossed in our own toasted garam masala. All the other curries are vegetarian so there's no need to worry.
As usual, we can do a half-vegetarian half-meat box so everyone gets fed. Just include a note with your preference at checkout.
Order cutoff is Wednesday April 28th at 3pm with delivery Thursday April 29th between 11am and 5pm.
Never hesitate to ask us about any dietary restrictions you may have, we love to feed people and always do our best to accommodate. We will be making a nut-free alternate please send us an email for details firstname.lastname@example.org.
