Most of the time when we think of a preserved cherry, we think of the overly sweet yet remarkably flavourless maraschino cherry. These cherries are nothing at all like that. They’re tart, with a hint of sweetness and excellent cherry flavour.
By slowly mellowing them in sugar and vinegar with warming spices and a touch of vanilla, you get an incredibly versatile little accoutrement for all of your favourites. We use them most on cheese boards and in cocktails.
