When you’re growing garlic, one of the most enjoyable byproducts are garlic scapes. The scape is the tender stem and flower bulb of the garlic plant, and in order to get good garlic underground you have to cut the scapes off once they curl over.
Pickled scapes are tangy and crunchy delights. You can snack on them just like a pickle, put them on a burger, or use them on a charcuterie board. We’re quite partial to them in our caesars.
Ingredients: Local Garlic Scapes, Vinegar, Salt, Sugar, Black Peppercorns, Mustard Seeds, Red Pepper Flakes, Coriander Seeds 250ml
